About the Role

HBCU Bound is seeking passionate, creative, and community-minded individuals to join our team as Founding Ambassadors.

HBCU Bound Ambassadors help educate, inspire, and empower students and families by increasing awareness of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and sharing HBCU Bound resources with their communities.

This is a flexible, independent contractor opportunity designed for individuals who believe in the importance of HBCUs, enjoy creating content, and want to use their voice and experiences to make an impact.

What You'll Do:

• Create & Share Content
• Create a minimum of two original pieces of HBCU Bound content each month.
• Develop educational, authentic, entertaining, and engaging content for your audience.
• Share HBCU facts, history, culture, student experiences, college advice, HBCU Bound resources, and other relevant topics.
• Promote the HBCU Bound Encyclopedia and other approved HBCU Bound resources.
• Follow HBCU Bound content, brand, and disclosure guidelines.
• Educate & Engage
• Help your audience learn more about HBCUs and their history, culture, opportunities, and impact.
• Use your individual experiences, interests, and perspective to connect HBCU information with the audience you know best.
• Encourage meaningful conversations about HBCUs, higher education, and Black excellence.
• Share truthful and accurate information when representing HBCU Bound.
• Represent HBCU Bound appropriately
• Serve as a positive representative of the HBCU Bound brand and mission.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with the HBCU Bound team and community.
• Become familiar with the HBCU Bound Encyclopedia and Ambassador Handbook.
• Continue developing your knowledge of HBCUs throughout your participation in the program.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have a genuine interest in HBCUs and higher education.
• Are currently creating original social media content.
• Have a unique voice, perspective, or audience they can connect with.
• Are creative, dependable, responsive, and willing to learn.
• Can communicate information in an engaging and authentic way.
• Are willing to learn more about HBCU history, culture, and opportunities.
• Can represent HBCU Bound professionally both online and in person.
• Are able to consistently meet monthly program requirements.
• Current HBCU students, alumni, parents, educators, school counselors, college access professionals, community members, content creators, and other HBCU supporters are encouraged to apply.

Ambassador Requirements

Ambassadors are required to:

• Create at least two eligible original Instagram posts or Reels each month.
• Tag @HBCUBoundLLC and submit an Instagram Collaboration request when the feature is available.
• Follow applicable advertising and affiliate disclosure requirements.
• Follow the HBCU Bound Ambassador Handbook, Brand Guide, and Ambassador Agreement.
• Maintain active and professional communication with the HBCU Bound team.

Compensation & Benefits

Position Type: Independent Contractor / Commission-Based Ambassador

Ambassadors receive:

• 15% commission for every qualifying HBCU Bound Encyclopedia sold using their unique ambassador code.
• A unique discount code providing customers with 15% off eligible purchases.
• An HBCU Bound Ambassador Starter Package and onboarding materials.
• Training and educational resources to help ambassadors confidently represent HBCU Bound.
• Opportunities to have approved content featured across HBCU Bound platforms.
• Opportunities to grow with the Ambassador Program as HBCU Bound expands.
• Commission eligibility is subject to completion of monthly Ambassador Program requirements.

You do not need to know everything about HBCUs when you begin. We are looking for people who are willing to learn, passionate about the mission, and excited to grow alongside HBCU Bound.
